things i’ve seen (desktop ver.), 2022
things i’ve seen is a video and sound work that asks questions of image reproduction, authorship, and performances of self. It looks to the imagination as a site of image reproduction, and relies on conversations as a primary method of meaning making and material production. Its processes include interviews, transcription, reenactment, and the borrowing of popular vlogging aesthetics.
things i’ve seen (desktop ver.) is an installation that repurposes its sibling, things i’ve seen (YouTube ver.). The video is superimposed upon a screenshot of multi-award winning YouTube content creator and personal favourite, Jenn Im. Traces of my own habits litter the table as producer and consumer become one.
