things i’ve seen (YouTube ver.), 2022

things i’ve seen is a video and sound work that asks questions of image reproduction, authorship, and performances of self. It looks to the imagination as a site of image reproduction, and relies on conversations as a primary method of meaning making and material production. Its processes include interviews, transcription, reenactment, and the borrowing of popular vlogging aesthetics.

In order for the work to be watched and disseminated beyond its installation mode, things i’ve seen (YouTube ver.) sacrifices the separation of video and narration and subsequent shifting associations. Image and sound are neatly locked into the one timeline for digital mobility.
